| As this is a random thread, I am going to mention random zebras. Watching the very corny 1960 version of Swiss Family Robinson. Theoretically, they are on an island somewhere in the East Indies. I can't think of any island that would have monkeys, ostriches, zebras, hyenas, tigers and pythons (I could be wrong, but as far as I know, these animals are only found on the mainland, some only in Africa and others having a wider distribution as far as Asia Minor, tigers only being found in Asia minor I believe. Certainly tigers and zebras do not share a habitat!). So it made me giggle to see these two lads arguing in the foreground and in the background 5 random zebras just calmly saunter past. Not really earth shattering news I know, but it made me laugh anyway.
Aaaand then I just had to nose around a bit and look things up didn't I? I have found a list of animals that appear in the book. It was written in 1812, so I will let Johann Wyss off, but not the film makers of the 1960 film lol! Here is the list of animals - quite a zoo really.

| I recall seeing one on I think Broadway and 8th Street, but never bothered to go in there. Is it better than a deli sandwich? And I think they call it "wichcraft." Very clever name. |

| Yea, my phone corrected me  Its really good, much more flavor then the deli's but nothing can really beat a greasy bacon egg and cheese in a bagel. a grilled cheese, bag of chips and a can of soda is $8 which isn't to bad, then you get to basque in the summer glory in Bryant park. There is also another one near Bellvue. Since I am volunteering at the NYPL I get 35% at their places inside the library, score! |

| Nice discount.  I like my bagels SuperJewish. Everything bagel, nice and warm, with scallion cream cheese, lox, raw onions and tomato. But breakfast bagels are yummy too. |
